This is Indonesia’s Dried Grated Coconut Export Market Potential in Bulgaria

JAKARTA (ekbistangsel): Indonesian dry grated coconut has penetrated the Bulgarian market. The value is estimated to be USD 1.5 million by the end of 2022 with an estimated volume of 600 – 1,000 tonnes.

In 2021, Indonesia’s export of dry grated coconut to Bulgaria is USD 198 thousand. Indonesia is the third largest exporter of desiccated coconut to Bulgaria. Singapore is second and Malaysia is fifth.

Meanwhile, in the same period, Indonesia’s exports of desiccated desiccated coconut to the world reached USD 234.67 million. The five largest export destination countries for Indonesia’s desiccated desiccated coconut are Germany, Russia, Singapore, the Netherlands and Egypt.

Indonesia’s non-oil and gas export performance to Bulgaria is USD 39.78 million in 2021. This value is quite high considering the Covid-19 pandemic. The main products exported by Indonesia to Bulgaria include USD 9.81 million in rubber products, USD 4.76 million in electronic parts, USD 3.20 million in vegetable oils, USD 1.99 million in amino acids, and USD 1.60 million in tin.

Minister of Trade Muhammad Lutfi released the first export container of dry grated coconut produced by Bulgarian PT Sasa Intike in Cikarang, West Java, Friday (8/4). “Various breakthrough efforts need to be taken to penetrate non-traditional markets such as Bulgaria,” he said as quoted from kemendag.go.id.
